HAPPY HOUR - AT HOME
Having a nice cocktail doesn’t always require you to go to a bar or restaurant. Sometimes it’s nice to have a little sip of a well mixed drink in the comfort of your own home, listening to music and relaxing on your favourite canopee. We’ve prepared some of our favourite cocktail recipes that are refreshing and nice to sip on when you just want to drink something fun.
Peachy Bellini
Bellini is one of Nelli’s favourite cocktails as it includes two of the tastiest ingredients: prosecco and peach puree. This Italian peachy cocktail is a go to in the summer months, that is refreshing with it’s fizzy touch. It is a quick and easy option to mix at home that will leave you and your company satisfied. Tipp: do not use pre made peach juice, instead try to blend your fresh peaches at home for a natural sweet taste without any added ingredients!
Prep time: 10 min
Ingredients:
4 ripe peaches
Bottle of chilled prosecco
Champagne glass
- Peal your peaches and place them into a blender where you blend until the peach puree is smooth without any chunks.
- Then pour approx 50ml peach puree into a champagne glass.
- Pour the chilled Prosecco on top of the puree and stir it up a bit. Be careful to not overflow the glass with the fizzy Prosecco.
- Add a peach slice on top of your glass if you wish. Enjoy
Moscow Mule
Moscow mule is another classic drink that Nelli enjoys. This fizzy drink includes three ingredients: vodka, ginger beer and lime, that leave the taste strong between spicy and sweet. This cocktail is best on a hot summer evening, when you want to sip on something refreshing after your meal, enjoying the sunset. It can be hard to find the perfect ginger beer, so we suggest Fentimans Ginger Beer as it is all natural and made using the finest Chinese ginger roots. For your vodka, you can pick any of your favourites, we prefer Belvedere for an authentic taste. As for the lime, squeeze 'em all out!
Prep time: 5 min
Ingredients:
Vodka 50ml
Lime juice 15ml(or half a lime)
Ginger beer 100-110 ml
Mint
Ice Cubes
Cucumbers *optional
Copper Cup
- Place ice cubes in an empty cup.
- Pour the vodka first, then the lime and ginger beer last. Mix them up well.
- Add mint on top for a fresh and visual touch. Enjoy.
Gin & Tonic
Gin & Tonic, is a new go-to that has been added to Nelli’s drink list. This all time classic cocktail contains three ingredients, but you have the options to mix-up, spice-up or sweeten up your drink anyway you’d like! Of course if you prefer vodka as your base, you can easily switch the gin. We love and recommend Fentimans Tonic Water because it is botanically brewed and contains the perfect fizz. After a long day grab your chilled glasses and mix your quick refreshing drink.
