GOALS TO ACHIEVE DURING LOCKDOWN

Beautypest Inc.

Living in isolation during the pandemic can be mentally challenging, which is why it is important to find goals that you can achieve relatively quickly while staying at home. Experiencing success has an undoubtedly positive effect on a person’s mood, and newfound skills can be utilized in the future, so we gathered some realistic goals for you in this post.

1. Learn something new!

We have been home for a year, and most of us probably wanted to spend this time productively. A great idea would be to learn something new during the pandemic that you never tried before, be it dancing, playing an instrument, baking, painting or macramé. Awesome tutorials are available online and you can always find inspiring influencers on social media.

2. Sharpen your language skills!

The pandemic effects the way we travel so we use our language skills a lot less, but you need to stay practicing. Spend some time each day on a second language you speak. Tests or watching movies without subtitles are both valid feedbacks on what level you are at, and if you are looking for a greater challenge, start studying for a language exam or try learning a new language.

3. Join online challenges!

Several exciting challenges pop up on Instagram that you can join for fun; you can always find one-week, one-month or even long term ones. For example, you could show something every day that you are grateful for, cook a beautiful dish that you can snap a picture of, or take 10,000 steps each day and document it. While challenges provide purpose and activity, they can also build communities!

4. Strengthen your immune system!

Strengthening your immune system is especially important these days; everyone should aim to live a healthier life. We recommend consciously paying attention to exercising, nutrition and vitamin intake.

5. Get in shape for summer!

We constantly promise ourselves to take care of our body, get back in shape or have the body we always dreamed of. Although, due to the lockdown, our opportunities are limited, but now that spring is here, we can start exercising outside! Aim for a longer running distance, more sit-ups or squats – the point is to keep moving. Exercise is great for the body and triggers happiness!

6. Start a daily beauty routine!

If you did not have time to take care of yourself in the past, that cannot be an excuse anymore. Start the day with cleaning your face and do not forget about self-care! We have a blogpost dedicated to this topic, in which you will find a bunch of useful tips.

7. Read! Get inspired!

Time spent with reading is time well spent, so grab a book with your morning coffee, during the weekend, at night in bed or at a park. A good book is always a great companion. Set the goal to read one book a month, that way you will have twelve fantastic reading experiences a year from which you’ll learn and can draw inspiration from.

8. Stop procrastinating!

Procrastination ruins the life of many. If you use your time consciously and schedule your tasks, you can learn to avoid it. You have plenty of time to plan now, so try mastering this skill!

9. Check in with your loved ones!

Your senses might be fooling you, but days are rapidly passing by, and we have almost no time to check in with our loved ones. We really need friends and family now, even if we can not see them in person, so you should definitely try organizing online or outdoor meetings.

10. Have quality time with your family! Plan various activities!

Finding beauty in every single day and being grateful for good health is essential. Do not shut yourselves in! Stay creative, even with fewer recreational opportunities. Have a picnic with the family, exercise together on the yard, or at a park close by, see the country or get more familiar with the place you live in, which is something you probably did not have time for in the fast-pace past.
