NELLI'S SKINCARE JOURNEY

As we age, our skin undergoes numerous changes that require us to adapt our skincare routines accordingly. In this post, I will talk about my past experience throughout my 20’s, 30’s and 40s.

In my 20's

I was blessed with youthful and resilient skin, but I made the mistake of taking it for granted. My skincare routine was minimalistic, consisting of the basics: cleansing, moisturizing, and applying (sometimes) sunscreen too. I soon realized that building a strong foundation for my skin's future was crucial.

In my 30's

I began prioritising, preventing and repairing my skin. As I entered a new decade, I started noticing subtle signs of aging, such as fine lines and loss of that youthful elasticity. It was a wake-up call to take my skincare routine to the next level.

1. Anti-aging Ingredients: To address emerging concerns, I introduced products with anti-aging ingredients. The powerful ingredients of anti-aging helped to diminish fine lines, brighten my complexion, and boost collagen production.

2. Exfoliation: Regular exfoliation became an integral part of my routine. By removing dead skin cells, I stimulated cell turnover and achieved a more youthful and radiant appearance. It is so important to help your skin regenerate.

3. Eye Cream: I started using eye cream to rid the appearance of tired eyes and puffiness around. The delicate skin in this area required specialized care and attention. Just like our hands age fast, the area around our eyes is one of the most noticeable the older we get.

Now, in my 40's

I started to prioritise different body parts like my hands, neck and chest, it is just important to take care of that area as it is for your face. I introduced neck and bust creams alongside my face care creams that I’ve been using since my 30’s.

Taking care of my skin and body has become an essential part of my morning and night routine that I make sure I set aside enough time for myself no matter how busy my day was or how tired I feel.
