The under-eye is the most delicate part of the face, as it is the thinnest area of the skin, making it particularly vulnerable and sensitive.

This area lacks sebaceous glands and collagen and elastin fibres, making the skin's protective hydro-lipid layer very thin and weak, drying out more quickly and is more easily stretched.
